Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ezGreen LLC, a Georgia limited liability company ("ezgreen.app," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit ezgreen.app, use the ezgreen.app web application, or use the ezgreen.app desktop application (together, the "Services").

The short version

Your green card application data stays on your device. We never collect it.

Everything you type into the ezgreen.app application to prepare your forms (names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, addresses, immigration history, financial details, and every other answer) is stored locally in your browser or on your computer. It is not transmitted to our servers, and we have no ability to view it. The only information we hold about you is the small amount needed to run your account, process your purchase, and provide support.

1. Information we collect

Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect, receive, access, or store the contents of your immigration forms. This includes your Social Security number, date of birth, passport and immigration document numbers, address history, employment history, family information, and any other answer you enter while preparing your application. This data exists only on your device. If you clear your browser data or lose your device, we cannot recover it, so we encourage you to use the application's export feature to keep your own backup.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address. Authentication is handled through our infrastructure provider, Supabase, which stores your credentials in secure, hashed form. We never see your password.

Purchase and license information

When you buy a license, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment details (card number, billing address) directly. We do not receive or store your full card number. We keep a record of your purchase (product, price, date), your license key, and limited technical information used to enforce activation limits on the desktop application.

Support communications

If you contact us through the in-app support widget or by email, we receive your email address and the content of your messages so we can respond.

Usage and log data

Like most online services, our servers automatically record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to understand aggregate site traffic. It does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: those required to keep you signed in and to operate checkout and the support widget. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• create and maintain your account and validate your license;
• process payments and send purchase confirmations and receipts;
• respond to support requests;
• send important service notices, such as security alerts, changes to these terms, or notices that a USCIS form edition supported by ezgreen.app has changed;
• send occasional product updates, which you can opt out of at any time via the unsubscribe link in each message (you cannot opt out of transactional notices such as receipts and security alerts);
• monitor, protect, and improve the Services.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising purposes. We share information only in these situations:

• Service providers. We use a small number of vendors to operate the Services, each of which receives only what it needs: Supabase (account authentication and license database), Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare (email delivery), Vercel (website hosting and cookieless analytics), and Featurebase (customer support messaging). Each provider is bound by its own contractual and legal obligations to protect your data.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of ezgreen.app, our users, or others. Where lawful and practical, we will notify you before disclosing your information.
• Business transfers. If ezgreen.app is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or in how your information is handled.
• With your consent. For example, if you ask us to publish a testimonial.

4. Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy. We may see the last four digits of your card and your billing postal code for fraud prevention and support purposes, but we never store your full card number.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing support@ezgreen.app. We will honor the request except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, purchase records for tax purposes). Your form data is never in our possession, so deleting it is always in your control: clearing the application's local data removes it permanently.

6. Your privacy rights

Regardless of which state you live in, you may:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate information;
• Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention duties;
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@ezgreen.app. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional statutory rights, including the right to appeal a denied request. California residents may also request information about disclosures to third parties for direct marketing under Civil Code Section 1798.83; because we do not make such disclosures, our response will confirm that none occurred.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the small amount of personal data we hold, including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, and access controls at our infrastructure providers. The most important safeguard is architectural: your sensitive application data never reaches us, so it cannot be exposed by a breach of our systems. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will investigate, notify you as required by applicable law, and take reasonable steps to mitigate harm.

8. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact support@ezgreen.app and we will delete it.

9. Where data is processed

We are a United States company, and our service providers process data in the United States. By using the Services, you understand that the limited personal information we collect is processed in the United States.

10. Third-party websites

The Services link to third-party websites, such as uscis.gov and our vendors' sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this Policy does not apply to them.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and post a prominent notice on ezgreen.app before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
