Prepare Your Marriage Green Card Online with ezgreen: Forms, Evidence and Filing Guidance
Last updated October 1, 2026
In 2026, eligible applicants adjusting status through marriage can file both I-130 and I-485 through myUSCIS. I-130 supports answering questions directly on the website; I-485 currently uses upload of a completed PDF. That lets you upload the files, pay and submit both applications online without assembling a full mailing packet for the initial filing. I-485 PDF upload guidance
ezgreen v1.3.0 now supports preparation for online marriage green card filing. Enter your information, generate forms, organize evidence and follow the corresponding USCIS submission steps in one app, with explanations throughout for people preparing their first application.
Check your own myUSCIS account and the current USCIS I-485 requirements for available filing options and eligibility.
Why we recommend filing through the USCIS website
Online filing removes much of the work involved in preparing and shipping a paper application. Upload forms and evidence directly to USCIS, review the application, pay and keep your submission record through the official process. You do not have to arrange delivery or worry about a packet getting lost in transit.
There is no need to print every supporting document, prepare a cover letter to organize a mailing packet, or sort the papers into separate bundles and envelopes. The website provides categories for uploading your files. Some forms still need to be printed, signed by hand and scanned, but there is much less paper to handle.
Government filing fees are paid through the official USCIS payment process. You do not enter the card or bank account details used for that payment into ezgreen.
If online filing is easier, why use ezgreen?
Once you start preparing, plenty of questions remain. How do you keep repeated names and addresses consistent across several forms? Does an upload category marked “if applicable” apply to you? Which specific files belong under financial support evidence?
ezgreen breaks that work into form filling, document collection and submission guidance, with explanations where you need them.
One questionnaire supplies information for several forms
A marriage green card application commonly involves I-130, I-130A, I-485 and I-864, with I-765 for employment authorization and I-131 for a travel document where applicable. The forms you prepare depend on your circumstances.
Although I-130 can be completed directly on the USCIS website, other related forms still need to be prepared before uploading. Working through separate PDFs means repeating names, addresses and marriage history, then checking several files whenever something changes. If you fill them out by hand, you also have to print and scan them.
ezgreen brings those questions together into a guided questionnaire. Enter shared information once in the app and it carries into the corresponding forms. You can then preview and download PDFs with your answers already filled in, ready for review and the required signatures or scans.
Explanations and tips accompany difficult questions. The app checks required fields and flags certain date relationships and circumstances that need further review. If you find an omission or mistake, return to the question, correct it and generate fresh forms, reducing the work of finding and updating the same information in several files.
A document checklist based on your circumstances
I-130 and I-485 have many evidence categories, and the website serves multiple types of applicants. Some categories may not apply to your marriage green card case. Others name a broad type of evidence, leaving you to read further instructions to identify the individual records you need.
For example, “proof of financial support” leaves several questions open: which tax record should you prepare, do you need pay stubs, and what should an employer letter include? Those details depend on the sponsor's income and tax filing circumstances. An upload category alone makes it difficult to tell whether your preparation is complete.
ezgreen uses your answers about status, marriage, income and selected applications to organize a detailed checklist. Financial support guidance explains how to prepare items such as tax records, pay stubs and an employer letter. Other sections identify applicable records, translations and supplemental documents.
Read the explanation for each item, mark your preparation progress and find its matching USCIS upload category when you reach submission. The same checklist follows your documents from collection to upload preparation.
Follow the USCIS screens through submission
Once your forms and evidence are ready, ezgreen continues with online submission guidance. It organizes instructions around the sections and question order in myUSCIS, showing which answers to review and which files to upload.
For I-130, keep the USCIS website beside the answer sheet prepared from your saved information. For I-485, follow the guidance for selecting the appropriate categories and placing completed forms and supporting records in their matching upload sections.
You can start without memorizing every form name or reading all the instructions at once. Each stage explains what to do now, what still needs confirmation and how to continue. You make the final review and complete signatures, payment and submission on the USCIS website.
Help with the steps after submission
After filing, ezgreen provides a timeline and interview preparation guidance. Learn which notices may come next and what to prepare, then follow the actual instructions USCIS sends for your case.
If something is unclear while you are preparing or using the app, contact the ezgreen team through in-app chat or email support. We can help you understand the app's explanations, document checklists and preparation steps.
Application answers and preparation progress entered in ezgreen stay on your own device. Take time to prepare and review them before uploading your files to USCIS yourself. See the privacy policy for details on how information is handled.
